Karen Van Der Heijde

Chappy Karen started in 2018 as Chappy at Tin Can Bay P-10 school 3 days per week.

Chappy Karen runs Breaky Club is on Tuesday & Thursday and a “Lunchtime Connect” group during breaks where students come into her room at lunchtime, they either play games, do some craft, play lego or just sit and chat with each other. She enjoys attending school sporting events and excursions. Chappy Karen supports students experiencing bullying and other home and school challenges.

She says “I just love talking the students and being able to help them understand what is going on in their lives at their different stages of life and love getting to know them.”
