Sharon is the new chaplain at Gympie South School and grew up on the Sunshine Coast. She studied teaching after leaving school in Rockhampton, moving to Darwin to work for four years and then to Gympie to be closer to family in 2006. Sharon then retrained as a social worker as she has a passion for helping people and enjoys supporting young people to be all that God made them to be, walking alongside them as they find their place in the world. She considers it a blessing and a privilege to see them blossom and grow. Sharon is looking forward to her new journey as chappy at Gympie South.
